A memorable meal in a surprising décor: the vaulted ceiling and ingenious lighting make for a highly original cadre. Our dinner, beautifully prepared and presented, was delicious. I hope to return one day! View all feedback.
What Mabel B dislikes about Caveau a l'Oree du Parc:
Whilst staying with our family we came here on a Friday evening. The restaurant in the 200 year caveau (cellar) looked was very atmospheric but totally empty. Two men and a dog plus one couple eventually arrived. As we were nowhere near any of the diners we felt isolated. Our starters cheered us up the scallop ravioli was exceptional. I felt that the food was expensive at €18 for the starters. The €38 menu was a good... View all feedback.

The local is very beautifully made, and homely. the menu well and for everyone something eating is beautifully presented...More
Gastronomic meal, presentation of magnificent dishes, reception of the extremely friendly owner, service and impeccable staff, than happiness; in addition the value/price ratio is more than good, the hearty and perfectly cooked calf ris, the desserts to fall, really an address to recommend
Nicely presented dishes. the products are fresh and home cooking. the dishes were tasteful and sought after. even fillings are good (fresh pasta, fresh spatzle). The service was friendly. We were a table of 8. The chain of dishes was perfect. I recommend.
Refined cuisine made by the patron, welcoming and pleasant service, atypical setting in a vaulted cellar.
One evening a week, not too many people, reception and friendly services without being heavy, a gourmet meal at the right price - bravo, to recommend

Good service, well prepared and presented food, good choice for groups! Cosy and atmosphere! Nice interior.

The vaulted natural stone dining room is very special and the subdued lighting atmospheric, if not ideal for reading the menu. Service was good at the start of our meal, but slowed down as the restaurant filled up. I chose the prawn and scallop starter very tasty and nicely presented, followed by kidneys with assorted vegetables O.K., but not exceptional. My wife's foie gras was very good, and her duck was also fine. We drank an undistinguished house wine. The price was fair. There is also an outside dining area, but it is rather close to the main road and can be noisy.
The host at our gite recommended this restaurant;he rang and made a reservation for us.What a pleasant surprise! The decor is superb-the cave and lighting give an intimate ambience. Our lovely waitress was most attentive and informative with regards to the extensive menu.We both chose the 3 course meal-wow,what a delight to the senses. Each plate served was like a work of art, almost too good to eat. However, the flavours and textures of the food were exquisite. We both had a salad with chevre cheese for entree, then I chose a pork fillet with honey glaze, while my husband had fish with an almond crumb. For sweets I had fresh strawberries with sorbet and my partner chose chocolate velour. This is honestly the best meal we have eaten so far in France. The chefs attention to detail, made this evening a most memorable experience-we congratulate and thank him.The cost was a bit more than we usually pay,but well worth the price.

I join the previous opinion on the, or the, qualities of this gourmet type restaurant, but nevertheless very affordable. I had the opportunity to go there many times, never had any bad surprises or on the dishes or on the desserts... Neither on the wines, by the way. Very pleasant atmosphere in this exposed stone cellar, bright neanless with a very nice staff. A must in the area, to be happy?
