Abuelo's Mexican - Hurst

During my dinner tonight, I couldn't help but notice that now that COVID is behind us, things are supposed to be back to normal again, without any doubt...

I was in Dallas for a convention and chose this restaurant because it was conveniently located right in front of my hotel. I ordered the fajita chimichangas, but I was disappointed to find that there were only two small pieces of beef fajita meat included.

The food did not justify the price, although the service was quick. The staff seemed hurried, but the restaurant was quite clean. I don't plan on returning.

Debbye was an outstanding server! She was very attentive and quick to respond to all our requests. Our food was fantastic! They even prepared shrimp quesadillas for my son, even though they aren't on the menu. My mom enjoyed a wonderful chili relleno, while my dad had chicken fajitas, and I ordered the sautéed chicken with zucchini. Everything was delicious! I highly recommend this Abuelo's! I've dined at several Abuelo's locations, and I've consistently experienced great service and wonderful food. I give it a solid 10!

My family and i absolutely love this place. The staff has always been top notch just like the food. Please do yourself a favor and have the chili rellenos both filled with cheese and smothered in queso! I travel for a living and they are the best! Don’t forget about grabbing an Island Margarita as well.
