Lovely restaurant, definitely good food , menu is great , quaint and cozy with a down home country feel. Nice people good waitresses .

We just finished eating here for my husband daughter's birthday. It was the most awkward meal with the staff sitting at the desk talking and looking at us the whole time. When it was time to pay the lady at the counter wouldn't even talk to my husband and made it very uncomfortable for him. I won't be back. The food is not worth the ...it's gone downhill and I am not interested in giving them any more business.

Food was great and huge portions. Was impressed with the service, prices and cleanliness. So nice to eat a hot home cooked meal while on a road trip.

2 year update: food still wonderul but prices are way out of line! $4 bucks to add a side of cold slaw, beans, cabbage etc? Really? It was like $40 for app, meal, side and a drink...yikes! Original review: Simply fantastic! No red blooded American could leave without a smile. Had Fried Mushroom appetizer, see pic. Chicken fried steak was the entree. Apple pie had to go with me since I was stuffed. Happy man tonight.

Disappointed in the food and price change, but in this economy I guess it's expected. Same place we've gone for years. Lovely people. Great pies are still there at least!
