Reviews summary
Nestled near Nickel Plate Beach, the Sand Bar offers a cozy, picturesque setting for both locals and visitors. Though the food and service have received mixed reviews, many diners rave about highlights like the perch sandwich, fried bologna, and unique sides such as sauerkraut balls and fried cheese curds. The friendly atmosphere and attentive staff enhance the experience, attracting repeat patrons. However, be prepared for potential challenges with parking and bartenders’ attentiveness during busy times. Overall, the Sand Bar stands out as a charming dive worth discovering for casual meals and drinks with friends.

What Ruth Lukehart dislikes about Sand:
Just popped in for a drink. It was not crowded. I didn't like my drink and wanted to order something else. Seemed like the staff was more interested in the football game than the customers. So by the time the bartender came around I just got the bill. The service and the food are hit or miss. We keep going back. Service: Dine in Meal type: Lunch View all feedback.

First time but it sure wont be the last!! They are serving $15 burgers here WITH fries or tots for ONLY 11.99!!! We started off with a Bavarian pretzel app and it was delicious!! Hot and soft with beer cheese and honey mustard. I got the bacon egg and cheese burger and they were happy to add some Mayo-the egg drizzled right through the bun-a m a z I n g ! ! My sweet wife went for the chicken fajita wrap with tots and it was incredible!! Great price, food and atmosphere!! Plenty of room for a nice size group and plenty of parking-you need to get down here!!

Great place of service was great, food and cocktails were excellent. Will definitely return
This is the place to go for amazing pizza and weak whisky. (It was not on watery drinks or would give 5 stars) Clean and polite, never been there at night.
Large small bar with food for adults and children. Quiet atmosphere. Food is tasteful. Portions were small. Typical bar food. The prices are a little high, but not crazy. Nice place to check out
Very nice, just for a drink. It was very picturesque, beautiful atmosphere, friendly service, but hard to get bartender attention. We were not locals and it seemed to be a small hometown bar, so understood, locals come first. I would definitely return, we like small, out of the way, restaurant/bars.
