First James is amazing! He was very patient with us because it was our first time here. He was knowledgeable, made suggestions and made sure that our food was perfect. We had a twenty-minute drive home and the food was still hot! Our fish and fries were still crispy! The flavors were so good. We ordered fried Tilapia, Greens yams, Mac and Cheese, Fritten and Cornbread. E V E R Y T H I N G was perfect. Will eat again! View all feedback.

I have given this place two chances, and it is not for me and my family, but I will encourage people to try it for themselves.
Excellent food that is made to order. I had the catfish, which was some of the best in Huntsville or the surrounding area. My only advice is since they cook food to order, call ahead based on what you want if you are on a time crunch. Fried chicken takes 20 minutes, wings 13, catfish 7, etc. The food is definitely worth the wait!
I haven?t even got my food yet but I am just so impressed. It is so clean and inviting. The cashier was beyond friendly. I had no idea what I wanted (it was my first time). It smells like Thanksgiving day in here. update food was great didn?t have to wait long. I would probably call ahead next time since they cook to order
Wonderful southern cooking with just the right amount of seasoning. Fried chicken is to die for.
Older review, only on Google: I wanted to try Ruth Rose for a while, and an opportunity presents itself this week! I made the ride out there intended to get a roasted chicken, and that's exactly what I got. Ruth Rose Southern Tea Room is a sweet little restarant. It is located in a small shopping center next to an Lawler's Barbecue. You order at the switch. The menu is relatively small, but I think this is a good thing; it usually shows a restaurant makes a few things quite good. Everything is fried is made fresh what is noticed on the menu and if you order ready to wait a few minutes! The inside of the restaurant was a bit cool so you want to bring a coat when you come in winter. The restaurant was mostly empty when I arrived, but the woman working at the counter gave me a very warm welcome. She was very friendly and friendly and I really enjoyed talking to her while I ordered. I was a little sad to find out that they no longer offer fried chicken breast; it's just leg and thighs. I still wanted to try, so I ordered this with French Pommes and Yams as my side article. Meals come with a water or tea. You also have cans of soda available, but no beverage machines, so note if refills are important for you. I chose tea because that's my favorite drink. My friend from the counter lets me know when I was just a few minutes on my chicken. She brought me the food out when it was ready and wow, it was hot and fresh! Both the chicken and the pommes were made for me when ordering. Overall, my meal was pretty good. I wish I had a chicken breast... but I still enjoyed these pieces! Super hot, crispy skin and still juicy inside. Ideally, I like a little heavier bread on my chicken; this chicken reminded me of a grandma kind of roasted chicken that she would make over the weekend. Definitely no bad thing very homecooked feeling. The fries were surprisingly good! They had a kind of delicious seasoning on them, were well cooked, and were so hot the insides were almost melted. I love her like that. I wasn't sold on the Yams. They were nicely cooked and were soft and delicate, but they had a spice that I was not so familiar that it threw me away. I liked them well enough to eat them all! In the end, I would have a small piece of bread with my meal corbread, roll, whatever was missing. Overall I enjoyed my experience very much. The service was nice, the price was right $11 for my food and drink, and the food was delicious. Give Ruth Rose a try!
