We come here a few times a month and their food is always delicious. Their house made soup always varies each week and most often it’s vegan. We also ordered a custom cake for my daughter’s birthday from here vegan, gf made with honey instead of sugar and everybody loved it. View all feedback.
What SoyBonita doesn't like about Mason Dixon Bakery Bistro:
I went to this restaurant for breakfast and was disappointed by the lack of options for vegans. Vegetarians may have slightly more choices, but I personally only received a makeshift slider that did not justify the high price. The atmosphere was pleasant, and I liked the outdoor seating area, but I have not returned since and would not recommend this restaurant to any vegans. View all feedback.
Since moving into their new location they changed their menu and the vegan items they once had are no more. Basically you can get a salad, avocado toast without the egg or a veggie bowl which lacks in filling. They still have their vegan cupcakes which are wonderful but it’s very disappointing they got rid of their vegan items.
Great baked goods and also some great portobello patties. Would mostly go here for bakery items over lunch though.
I’ve been wanting to try this place as I read it had some vegan options. I was pretty unimpressed with the options available though. They no longer have pb&j for kids “due to covid”. I don’t really understand this because it seems like this would be one of the easiest things to keep in stock since they always have bread and both pb and jelly have a long shelf life. Since this was the only vegan kids item and they didn’t have it we ended up getting the kids a veggie burger to split. They did not like it at all. I thought the patty was very good but they didn’t. I ordered the vegan blt which was made with mushroom bacon. It was decent. Both entrees were overpriced, about $11 and they don’t even come with a side. We got two of the Cookie Monster cupcakes and the cloud 9 cupcakes. Both were pretty good but they were so moist they were falling apart. I would suggest they either put the pb&j on the menu again for kids or maybe do a kids grilled cheese which they already have ingredients for on hand. I also was very surprised that they still do not allow dine in eating which is unusual for a restaurant in this area at this point. We will most likely not be back.
Go for Saturday brunch! The dairy-free biscuits with mushroom gravy are amazing. They also have vegan cupcakes!
The meals were good but not great. We got cake pops and cupcakes that were awesome though!
