My friend and I ordered the ribs (perfectly cooked with a delicious sauce, and tender), a meat-covered kartoffel (buttery, creamy, with a unique flavor), and some of the best okra I've ever tasted. The other sides were good, though not exceptional. We also enjoyed the incredibly sweet sugar peach cobbler for dessert. The service was very friendly and helpful, making for a great overall experience.

Despite being very bu... read more We make the trek to Huntsville every year, and no Thanksgiving feast would be complete without a slice of coconut cream pie from Gibson’s. Despite being very busy the morning before Thanksgiving, we were able to quickly get our pie with a smile, and it was still warm. It’s like magic! The other desserts are just as delicious, and the famous grill is top-notch.

I live now in dc, which makes my travel to gibson even more special, as I can't go often. it's always the first place I eat when I come to huntsville.

The total cost for both of us was just $32.16, which is a great deal considering everything we ate, including sweet tea. Highly recommend!

The condiments on the table were lukewarm and had stuff kind of crusted on it all of them is very gross Also the floor was very dirty it looked like the restaurant had not been cleaned in quite a while. Recommend you mark this one off your list and keep on looking when it comes to good barbecue perit's a good barbecue.

They were super-busy on the morning before Thanksgiving, and even so we got our pie quickly, with a smile, and still warm from the oven. What sorcery is this??? And if you're wondering, other pies are equally delicious and the legendary barbecue speaks for itself. Simply wonderful.

We also tried the meat-covered potato, which was buttery, creamy, and filled with cheesy goodness, and some of the best okra I've ever tasted. The other sides were decent but nothing out of the ordinary. For dessert, we had a really hot 'low sugar' peach cobbler that was surprisingly sweet. The service was very helpful and courteous, making for a very enjoyable experience overall.

I can't praise the service enough - it's always prompt and friendly. Whether dining solo or with a group, Gibsons is a great place to go.

I would highly recommend the BBQ baked potato! I would also avoid the white sauce!
