Contribute Feedback What Daniel West likes about 88 Buffet:
The food and service were excellent. The establishment was extremely clean and well-sanitized. My only suggestion is that the chefs at the hibachi grill should wear masks and at least gloves. Although their hands don't come into direct contact with the food, I believe it's important for them to wear gloves as a precaution. Similarly, even if they are vaccinated, it's best practice to wear masks while preparing food i... View all feedback.
I do love the food I choose but some of that stuff needs to be prepared better. Other than we usually have a great time. Will come again. Oh and try not to get seated where they dump the dishes. It's so loud. I'm surprised she wasn't breaking them. They are really durable plates though lol
Have enjoyed 88 for several years. Sushi is fresh and tasty. Hibachi is also usually good. Update: like everywhere, prices have gone up. But it's still good food and a good experience.
I love eating here! My family and I come 1 to 2 times a week. The food here (for the price) is really good. The selection and quality is the best here in the Madison/Huntsville area. We eat at multiple restaurants at various price ranges throughout the week and would still put this place as a top 5. It's about $15 per adult and $10 per child. Pro- This is an important one- the crawfish is AMAZING. Literally I eat my money's worth just in a a plate of crawfish. Sushi is ok...most of the time the deep fried crabs decent. The other items are great AND you can make your own lo mein noodles served however you want. Cons- It's a cheap buffet. Keep your expectations low and your appetite high. Can be packed on weekends and some nights. Meaning the crawfish and crabs get taken quick *BUT they do restock fast. Overall, I'll be here stuffing my face once a week. If the crawfish and crabs are out- grab em before I do.
I don't care what anyone says, I love this place. It's the only buffet I've been to where I actually trust the raw sushi. I've been several dozen times and it has never made me sick or anything. I don't care for all of the foods they offer and some are particularly unappealing, but there are many, many tasty items to choose from. I also love the hibachi bar. I only wish they included eggs as an option on the hibachi buffet. I've never had to wait for a table because the seating is plentiful. Overall, I really enjoy this place.
