Lotus Chinese Eatery - Huntington Beach

I have been coming to this place for over 10 years and i leave happy every single time.

After Nomad, I have pretty high expectations when it comes to Halal Chinese foodUnfortunately, Lotus is sub-par.

It's difficult for me to write a negative review, but I was very unhappy with my experience here unfortunately.

My wife and I visited the Lotus House Chinese Eatery in Huntington Beach, about the weekend. That was the worst restaurant experience I had every one. The restaurant is likely to be Halal, but I tend to ask if it really is. Many Chinese workers and very little English spoken. When we didn't go in, they said hello or welcome. The hostess simply on the dinning area. They grunted something and put the bill on the table before we even ordered. It got worse. There were 3 other groups eating there. All who have a better service than me and my wife (but not much said). We had to ask for water repeatedly. As soon as the waitress came by and shouted out “what you want” I was ready to go at this point. It is common that I thank you and your welcome. The waitress came to the table twice and every time I said thank you. She didn't react at all. I watched her wait on the other two tables and she made a thank you to the other tables. The only difference is that I am black and the other people were either Chinese or white. the restaurant was very dirty and I wouldn't go back. Save your money.
