Was Eric F at Java Point a mag?
Stopped by HSS for some surf wax. Had to grab a coffee on the way out. Grace made me a delicious iced vanilla latte with their specialty brown sugar. Make sure to stop by Java point when walking down town. View all feedback.
What Jonathan S dislikes about Java Point:
I tried, I really tried. My latest visit will probably be my last. After ordering my usual, small coffee with cream and a donut, I was given my donut and that was it. I waited as they helped 2 other people, totally forgot about me. After I asked them about my coffee, the girl finally gave me my coffee and said nothing. I felt like taking my tip back. Very cool place but the service is usually bad. Not really training... View all feedback.

The coffee was mediocre, and the staff seemed unfriendly. It took ten minutes for my bagel to arrive. Overall, I would rate the food a 3 out of 5.
Java Point offers a great variety of coffees and teas, and it’s currently my daughter’s favorite place for chai. Although I’m not a huge chai fan myself, she insists it’s one of the best in the area. They also have a selection of small pastries and might even serve lighter meals, like sandwiches. Just a tip: be careful not to tap on the glass, as it tends to scare the donuts (if you know, you know). If you're in need of a coffee and a light snack, and you love the surf and beach vibe, definitely check out Java Point. I think you’ll enjoy it! You can even take your coffee across Pacific Coast Highway and stroll along the Huntington Beach pier while you sip. **Vegetarian options**: They offer some delightful pastries that I believe are vegetarian. **Kid-friendliness**: Kids will love this spot, as there’s plenty for them to explore. **Parking**: There are many parking options available, and if you don’t mind walking a bit, there are free options too. **Wheelchair accessibility**: Yes, it is wheelchair accessible. **Dietary restrictions**: They have a few gluten-free options available in the pastry selection as well.

Wednesday afternoon snack, cinnamon roll and a small drip coffee, $6.25 excluding tip. Service was prompt and friendly. My drip was warm, not hot, as sometimes happens when they add cream. Still it was tasty. Tables outside were clean, to enjoy a view of Main Street and the pier.

Skip the national chain with jerk barristas and buy a really good local Latte from people who are friendly and glad you stopped by
Best place downtown for coffee. Stumptown brew is the best and the staff is amazing. Great food as well. While you are waiting it is tempting to even buy an new surfboard. If you haven’t been here you need to get breakfast and a coffee. Stop in and place an order. My go to is almond milk latte with vanilla.
Great place for fresh ground coffee and some donuts while checking out some surfboards/gear. Two of my favorite things in one place
Stopped in here while my wife was running the Surf City Marathon. The staff was super friendly and welcoming especially for 6:30 in the morning. I ordered a mocha and a glazed blueberry cake donut. The donut was moist, tasty and delicious. The coffee was fantastic too. Perfect for the overcast weather that day.
The iced coffee and chai tea were both excellent, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. However, the gluten-free brownie was a bit dry. They do offer discounts on coffee if you bring your own cup.

The coffee and service here are outstanding! I really enjoy having an iced mocha along with the Sunrise bagel.
I visited the restaurant on November 26, 2023, around 8:20 AM. One employee was busy preparing coffee, but I noticed that the taller girl was standing there texting on her phone for about five minutes while I and another customer were waiting. I always try to be patient during the morning rush, and I understand that it can get busy, but this girl was completely focused on her phone and ignoring us. I even said "good morning" gently, but she didn't hear me as she was too engrossed in her texting. I don’t think I’ll return to a place where employees prioritize their phones over their customers. Instead, I decided to go to Sur Coffee, which is nearby, where the staff is attentive and doesn't use their phones while working.
At Java Point is just crazy cool. This little coffee shop combined two of my favorite things: coffee and surf boards. In honesty I'm more a fan of the boards than the coffee! Also, you don't actually buy the boards from Java Point, but since it's located inside HSS (Huntington Surf and Sport) you kind of can't avoid them. Java Point offers a good selection of coffee and teas and it's currently my daughter's favorite place for chai. I'm not a big fan of chai, but she says it's one of the best in the area. They also have small pastries and may even do some lighter meals, think sandwiches and the like. Just be careful not to knock on the glass as it scares the donuts (iykyk). So if you need a cup of coffee and a light snack and love surf and the beach, head to Java Point. I think you'll like it. You can even take your coffee right across PCH and walk the Huntington Beach pier while you enjoy it!
Their bagels with all the fixings are to die for. Soooo good.
