The restaurant has new owners as of February 2018. They have renovated the bathrooms, making them brighter than before. The food is excellent—I tried the spicy eggplants and the vegetable joy, both of which were fantastic. The servers are attentive and provide great service.
The staff was very friendly, but I found the meal to be somewhat overpriced considering everything. However, the veggie curry had a wonderful flavor.
The sign has some burnt-out letters, and there’s no music—just a TV displaying a game or perhaps some messages. It’s very much a no-frills establishment, but honestly, I don’t mind at all. There are plenty of restaurants in Thailand that have a similar vibe. And let me tell you, the food here is incredible and the prices are very reasonable. Everyone I’ve brought here has raved about it. If you’re unsure what to order, let me help. For your appetizer, try the fresh cheese avocado wontons. For a salad, go with the spicy papaya salad (som tum). For soup, the Tom Yum Kai with chicken (choose with or without coconut milk) is a must—make sure to get a side of white rice to mix in with it. For your main course, I recommend the Pad Woon Sen Goong, which features glass noodles with shrimp (or chicken if you prefer). Pair your meal with a Thai tea or a Singha beer, both of which go wonderfully with the food. Always remember to ask for Thai spices and give them a try. You won’t be disappointed!
Located in a quiet little plaza with limited parking, this place is definitely worth the visit. Their lunch options are around $10, and they come with a side of delicious vegetable tofu soup, a small salad, and a fried wonton. Plus, if you check in on Yelp, you receive a surprisingly large free Thai iced tea! I ordered the Penang Curry with chicken at a medium spice level, which turned out to be practically perfect. My only complaint was that I needed more rice to go along with my curry. I also tried the spicy eggplant, and the sauce was fantastic. The waitress was kind, the dining area was clean and spacious, and overall, it was a pleasant experience with amazing food. Don’t miss out on this gem the next time you’re in the area!
