Don José 's has been there like forever, with good reason as they consistently serve high quality food. First rate complementary chips and salsa. My recommendation is to go by during lunch during the week when there are lunch plates for $12. View all feedback.
What Addison Runolfsson doesn't like about Don Joses Mexican:
I asked for a Mexican pizza with shredded beef and quacamole. I paid $18 for $3. I live in Santa Ana and was thrilled to eat Don Jose's food. I'm 58 y/o and have eaten here for decades. This time I feel demolished. There was a teaspoon of Quacamole, and they made it with ground beef. Not shredded beef. It was rough! I could have gone to the Tacoglocke and saved $18. I miss our Don Jose in Lake Elsinore, but I'm glad there's still one nearby. I always enjoy the enchiladas and their chicken tacos!
The salsa was fantastic. I ordered the huevos rancheros, and there was so much food that I had to share it! The prices were reasonable, making it a great place to take the whole family or a group of friends.
I was unable to use two gift cards, even though there was a total balance of $100.00 on them!
The food was amazing, with good portions and filling. Service was very good, always asking if we were good.
Great taco Tuesday best price in town and regular size not those little kind. Going back for sure!!!
