Don Joses Mexican - Huntington Beach

I grew up eating in Don Jose in the late 70s and early 80s. I left in 84' and I haven't been back since. I can play the sitdown cocktail version of Mrs. Pacman in the bar. I was in the area with my mother recently and it was the first place we went to. Sooo good. Just like I remembered. I live now in Nor Cal and the Mexican food is fine, but it's not Don Jose. Do yourself a favor and eat here, you will not be disappointed.

Delicious food!! And very good portions. Definitely get your money's worth and the servers were all very pleasant. Plus, they have infinite chips and salsa that were to die for.

Went to Don Jose's after 50 years and they are still excellent food excellent service our waitress was top-notch very comfortable atmosphere love the food still you do a good job

The atmosphere was pretty nice. The salsa that went with the chips was not as delicious as I would have wished. It was spicy. The main meal was very satisfying. The dark beer was very good.

I asked for a Mexican pizza with shredded beef and quacamole. I paid $18 for $3. I live in Santa Ana and was thrilled to eat Don Jose's food. I'm 58 y/o and have eaten here for decades. This time I feel demolished. There was a teaspoon of Quacamole, and they made it with ground beef. Not shredded beef. It was rough! I could have gone to the Tacoglocke and saved $18. And the cashier didn't give me my reception. That's why I'll never go back. The Mexican pizza sucks to Don Joses.
