Just a good old fashioned fish and chip shop albeit with some modern flourishes. But best for just a good meal of fish, chips, burgers etc. Always quick, always hot, always fresh. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Swordfish Chippery:
Great service, they were friendly, polite, efficient, honest. Chips were really nice but the potato cakes just average, fish bites a bit chewy and my husband's grilled barramundi was quite nice. Decor is average, just that traditional 1960's fish and chip shop style. Overall, fair. View all feedback.
I believe in supporting local businesses, but waiting two hours on Good Friday to receive inedible food that we had to throw away is extremely disappointing. It feels like we were taken advantage of and ripped off by the restaurant.
The fish and chips at this restaurant are fantastic! They are fresh, delicious, and reasonably priced. It took us a while to find a great takeaway in the area, but this one is definitely worth it. Highly recommended!
Our weekly take away after returning from Gippsland Lakes. If busy, expect a minute wait or ring an order ahead as we do. Chips are always crunchy, salads are fresh (coleslaw and Greek) and the fish is always well cooked. A well run...business.
We get our fish and chips from here on a weekly basis. Their chips are crunchy and taste fresh. Their grilled fish come crumbed and I must say just the right amount. I hate the places that consider grilling the fish that have been pre...battered , acceptable. If you like sth Melbourne dim sums they have them. Burgers are good as well. So all in all a great place to get a meal.
The restaurant is incredibly clean and serves food made with fresh, high-quality ingredients. While most customers choose to take their food to go, there is both indoor and outdoor seating available for those who wish to dine in. I ordered a grilled fish fillet and a plain hamburger. The hamburger came inside a large toasted bun, while the fish was accompanied by a wedge of lemon. Both dishes were generous in portion size and well worth the price.
