Went here for lunch and the food was very average. Half an hour later we were all rushing to the toilet with diarrhoea and stomach cramps. Will never return.

We go here regularly, the food is excellent. Beef Bibimbap, fried chilli/garlic chicken are our regular orders with a side of mandu.
Decided to try out this Korean restaurant as it was recommended by a Korean friend. Was surprise to note that it had a wide variety of Aussie cakes. The owner told us that it still operates as a coffee and cake place and they offer...breakfast from The kitchen is managed by the owner's wife and family. We ordered a wide variety of food as there was of us. Without exception, they were all above average. The food was fresh and delicious. After lunch, decided to try his coffee and he kindly gifted us some cakes. Coffee and cakes were nice. Overall, a nice experience as one could feel the passion and care they put into the cooking. With coffee, the bill came to each which was well worth the money. Will definitely be back again soon
Samwon Garden is the newest kid on the block in Huntingdale, which is acquiring quite a number of Asian cafe/restaurants. However, it has quickly become my first choice when looking for somewhere local to take friends for lunch, or for a takeaway when I don't...want to cook. This is "real deal" Korean cuisine according to a friend who lived in Korea for years and he was most impressed with every dish we ordered. Everything is cooked to order (nothing pre-cooked and stewed over here) and so far I have never had a dish I didn't really enjoy. And I like the little complimentary appetiser dish with kimchi, bean shoots and a chilli shredded cabbage which is replenished as often as you want a nice touch. Premises are very clean, food is fresh as can be and thankfully it hasn't been "modified" to accommodate the western taste for bland! The owner and all the staff are attentive and helpful and prices are extremely low. In fact, it is about the best cheap eats place I can think of.
