By the River Bakery & Cafe

I'm a little here. new owners took over and that food got worse. to the point where it is actually rough now. Example: the frits are carried out in oil, which obviously has not changed over a long time. everything comes like fish and stinks. Take a look at this.

I would have been used to a full 5 stars by the flow bakery but when I was 2 days ago I was very disappointed. the cookies had no taste, most of the dinge seemed to go in size and nothing seemed fresh. To be honest, I think the bakers have lost their trust since the whole thing rattled and cause when the health inspectors came. but I know the bakers can do better. I will give them a chance. update: I'm done giving them a chance.

I had the breakfast sandwich on multigrain bread and I was blown away! I also have the Ginger Glitter cookies and had to go back for another package before they go! you have to try!

By the river bakery is no fine cuisine but there is a lot of choices and the staff is really nice. A very good stop to make on the bike ride between Kensington and Charlottetown

Out and about site seeing for the day and my wife happened to find this little gem along our route.Glad we stopped. We ordered haddock and chips as well as a roast beef sandwich. The fish was super tasty. Very lightly breaded and fried, super moist and tasty. The fries were great. The Roast Beef sandwich was served on homemade bread that tasted like it was made today (pretty sure it was) with home cooked and sliced roast beef.Super happy to have found this little road side stop along our travels.
