Captain Crawfish - Humble
Captain Crawfish
Description
Tucked in a busy shopping‑center, this casual seafood spot is praised for well‑seasoned boils, generous sauces, large shrimp, tasty fried rice and a wide cocktail list at reasonable prices. The restaurant is clean, kid‑friendly and efficient—staff often go the extra mile to help diners handle messy seafood. Criticisms focus on inconsistent friendliness and a confusing dine‑in vs. takeout seating policy; some guests also find crawfish meager and portions occasionally small.

Why should it matter if customers come in to eat rather than take out, especially when there were plenty of open tables? If your policy requires customers to be seated by a waitress, it would make sense to employ a host to greet customers at the door to prevent any confusion. I won’t be returning, and like another customer mentioned, I typically order from here because I’m often in the area. I prefer to spend my money where I'm welcomed. In response to the owner's comments, it’s understandable that a repeat customer would be upset when they’re interrupted while eating, especially when the restaurant isn’t full and several tables are vacant. Just because someone doesn’t see all the signs doesn’t mean they intended to place a takeout order. Your response indicates a lack of understanding and connection with your customers. Additionally, none of the staff ever seem to smile; they appear unhappy, which adds to the unpleasant experience. I appreciate that I wasn’t asked to leave after I had already purchased my meal and was quietly enjoying it when you interrupted me to say I had ordered takeout, despite my intention to dine in. I’m not the only customer who disagrees with this policy. Ultimately, you have the right to run your business as you choose, but it may not be the best approach.
Excellent service, delicious food, and a fantastic host. She was very knowledgeable about the menu and went above and beyond to assist us. I will definitely be coming back! Food: 5/5
This is a fantastic restaurant to enjoy some delicious boiled shrimp and crawfish. Their seasoning is unique, and you will love dining here. The prices are reasonable for the quality of food you get. The fried rice with shrimp is absolutely amazing, and the Cajun fries and egg rolls are also top-notch. One of my favorite menu items is the L5 seafood combo. I always order it spicy with the Captain’s special blend sauce. Trust me, you will love it!
Kid-friendliness: It was easy to find something for my 10-year-old and 2-year-old to enjoy. I often struggle to find kid-friendly options when we eat out, so we don't go out as often.
The fried alligator was cooked to perfection and tasted incredibly fresh. I could have eaten more, as the portions were a bit small for my liking. The seafood rice was amazing, and the Cajun fries were fantastic! The seafood combo came with seven cleaned shrimp, and I was impressed to find such large crawfish and big, cleaned shrimp here. Overall, I would give the food a 5 out of 5!
