I recently had a meal at this restaurant with three friends and it was delicious. The staff is always friendly and welcoming. I do find that the food is better when the restaurant is busy or when we eat earlier in the day. Julie, who works at the bar, always comes across as a lovely lady. If we ever have a problem, the staff always make it right. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Lambwath:
It was ok, wrap was very dry. Carvery was not great, beef was so tough you had to spit it out and we wrote it off, gammon was very salty to the point it was off-putting. When we did manage to get served, table staff were nice, albeit a little illusive. We honestly could have left without paying and no one would have noticed for a while! (To be clear, we did pay! Really nice carvery enjoyed by all in our party. we decided on Sunday evening dinner about the weekend of the bank and wanted to taste lambwath for a long time. as a family, we have booked a table online for 6 hours before us and we are glad that we made it! we had waited a short time when one of our party asked for nussbraten that is cooked to order, and we wanted to eat together. when we gave up for the carvery, it was the perfect timing as soon as there were more than 20 in the waiting queue, with a constant turnaround, for a good half hour. we have all decided for all flesh beef, truthahn, pork and gammon and all enjoyed. a lot of vegetables were in offer and all foods were fresh and hot, not dry and muddy like some caries. 10/10 experience and will definitely visit again!
Very nice food service. Ruth was especially lovely. Very pleasant and chatting with the family/offerings great meal suggestions as she served us. The children found the chicken nuggets a bit dry but overall we all enjoyed the food, quick service and family friendly atmosphere.
Been using the lambwath for may years as it’s walking distance for us. Make sure you book a table if going at busy times, which are the best times to go. Going when it is busy you will find an excellent Carvery at a reasonable price, but I have been when it hasn’t been very busy and the lack of turnover can be experienced in the meal
I came with my partner and our daughter, we had a great breakfast. The staff were great a staff member named Ruth went above and beyond. Great family friendly place I would highly recommend.
Truly beautiful carvery enjoyed by all in our party. We decided on Sunday dinner over the bank holiday weekend and had been wanting to try Lambwath for quite some time. As family were visiting, we booked a table online for 6 an hour ahead and we're glad we did! We had a short wait to eat as one of our party asked for nut roast, which is cooked to order, and we wanted to eat together. When we queued up for the carvery, it was perfect timing as soon after there were more than 20 in the queue, with a constant turnaround, for a good half hour. We all opted for all the meats beef, turkey, pork and gammon and thoroughly enjoyed them all. A variety of vegetables were on offer and all food was fresh and hot, not dry and mushy like some carveries. Overall 10/10 experience and will definitely be visiting again!
