The rating would be higher if the DJ gave everyone a fair chance to use the karaoke. Last night, two friends and I were told three times over the span of at least an hour that we couldn’t add a song to the queue because it was full. Meanwhile, we saw a woman sing four songs by herself during that time. Perhaps introducing a limit would help? We spent three hours and a fair amount on drinks, only to leave feeling disappointed. That said, the bouncers and bar staff were very friendly! Price per person: £10–20 Service: 2 Atmosphere: 4
Vox Box offers a lively and youthful atmosphere where both young people and adults can sing, dance, and have a great time. The ground floor features a DJ, bar, and dance area with seating, while the first floor houses private karaoke rooms and an additional bar. We visited as a small group to celebrate a birthday. Unfortunately, there was no waiting area available before our room was ready, so we had to wait by the stairs. We did not try the food during our visit. The karaoke room itself includes a main screen at one end, an open space in the middle likely for dancing, padded seating along the sides, and a smaller screen for song selection. The music selection was a good mix of classic and contemporary tracks. The sound system was loud, the microphones worked well, and the lyrics appeared in different colors to indicate various singers. The computer system was fairly easy to use. However, storage space was very limited, with hardly any room for bags or coats. The small counters available for drinks were insufficient, and food was not allowed upstairs, which contrasts with many Asian karaoke venues that offer large tables for enjoying food and beverages. This aspect was somewhat disappointing. Additionally, guests cannot adjust the music volume or equalizer settings. Prices were around £10–20 per person. Service and atmosphere both rated a 3 out of 5.
We visited Vox Box on Friday night for our staff Christmas party and everyone had an amazing time. The food was fantastic, especially the chicken, and the staff were all wonderful. The service was excellent from start to finish. The karaoke was a huge hit as well. We will definitely be returning for future staff nights out and will most likely book again for the 2025 Christmas party. Thank you! We highly recommend visiting! Food: 5 Service: 5 Atmosphere: 5
