This supported pub offers a wonderful mix of heritage (it has been licensed for over 200 years) with a modern selection of keg and cask beers on Untappd screens (and tables). The beers were well cured, cover a variety of beer styles and there were some decadent options from Brew York. Friendly atmosphere, informal and absolutely worth the walk from the center of Hull. Very wonderful and well managed. View all feedback.
A beautiful, historical pub fucked out of the way, but it is absolutely worth a visit. Brilliant and picky selection of beers (the Titanic Cappuccino Stout!, walls with historical photos of Hull and its inhabitants, and wonderful staff. Clean, full of natural lighting, and a fantastic place to share a few pints.
Great pub best in the area according to all the beer awards. 7 real ales (2 dark 3 pale 2 brown bitters and 6 real ciders. Great staff and very friendly regular customers. Highly recommended below is the licensee

Location: Traditional pub in an industrial area of Hull called Wincolmlee directly on the river Hull. The area and vibe remind me of some of the old school pubs in Burton on Trent and you can imagine 200 years ago workers jumping in for a pint or two after work a hard layer. Although it is in its own area, it is still very walkable from the city centre. Beers: In the interior of the beer cask is concentrated with Brew York (the excellent cask made, no matter what you think about their keg). There is also a decent selection of Cask ciders as well as craftsmanship Keg. Brew York and Sheffields Abbeydale are well represented in the refrigerator. There are also a number of Belgian beers and England's only Trappist beer Tynt Meadow. Decor / Ambience: surface and regular are very friendly. When I visited, there were several solo drinkers who like to chat. The pub is traditionally with exposed floor plates and old pub images on the wall. They also have a variety of paraphrases from local sports teams. Whalebone is conveniently one of the best pubs of Hull. It is also one that I would say that any serious beer drinker or pub enthusiasts should have on their list. If you are in you beers and visit Hull, put Whalebone on the top of your list.
Always enjoy walking in the Whalebone. Brilliant choice of beers etc., nice friendly atmosphere and a landlord who knows what he does.
