Sauves casse-croute - Hudson

The service is rather slow, small terrace for the landing, but the fries are excellent, the luxurious burgers, the hot dogs, are no healthier than elsewhere, but you must go to lunch on Saturday after a visit to the market.

Situated in downtown Hudson on Main, this casse-croute seves up the best steamies and fies in town - not to mention a Quebec delicacy poutine.. Tables and umbrellas outside where you can watch the the world drift by or sit at the counters inside and chat with the owner George.

Restaurant sauvé is a great place to enjoy the best poutine in the area. It has a very old vintage look but has always been clean. It's great for eating on the small patio up front in the summer and a perfect place to stop at on motorcycles ride.

We were on vacation and decided to come to this resto because I have continuously heard about it and they talked about it at 'La petite séduction' TV show. Some people were going there more than once a week for hot dogs. When we went the steamies machine wasn't working so I took toasted hot dogs...they were served in a steamies bun and it wasn't toasted, it was just dry! I was expecting a bun with buttered, toasted sides...wouldn't you? The actual sausage wasn't even that great. For all the good I have heard over the years I was pretty disappointed and I hope it was just an off day. My kids enjoyed they pogo and poutine. Found it weird that we had to buy our drinks out of a vending machine outside too but hey, small town casse croute, I guess it's part of the appeal...

Great place to eat. Nothing fancy but descent food. Always packed. Great poutine., lots of clients and very very loyal.
