First off, the waitress/bartender Veronica was amazing, so sweet and thoughtful. We had a margarita call Mamarita that Veronica created. It was AMAZING, light, and refreshing. The salsa was okay. We had beef fajitas, and the beef was good. Beans and rice were a bit bland. View all feedback.
What Anastasia doesn't like about La Playa Maya Hudson Oaks:
We have eaten here three times (and tried several of the other locations as well) but this location needs improvement. The queso is always cold (it’s not a served “cold” queso either) it’s just poorly reheated. And the food is always too cold (again poorly reheated or not kept at a high enough temp). Probably not giving this place another chance for a while. View all feedback.
The young man that sat us was alll cheerful and talkative which is a nice change from most hosts and hostesses and there chip and Silas lady showed up quick never had a waitress come to our table they were standing at hostess station but they never took a drink order or swung by and said they would be there in a second after 10 minutes we left.

Best beef fajitas!! Salsa needs to be updated....too hot for gringos.
This visit was perfect. The bartender Veronica created a “MAMArita” for Mother’s Day so I knew I had to try it. On top of her amazing service the drink was perfect, light refreshing, and fresh tasting. Food was better than average but didn’t stand out. Great salsa! We will return for sure.
Delicious food, big portion serving I almost couldn't finish.
