Star Ocean - Hudson

Became my new favorite Chinese take in the Marlborough/Hudson area. Was a China button fan for years, but I'm a converter. Star Ocean food is always fresh and steaming hot. They offer comb plates all day at great prices.

The Singaporean style rice noodles I ordered is just perfect while I'm still under the weather. The amount of satay is just enough to give the floor in every single bite.

Now closed, this restaurant offered excellent Chinese food at a great value. The service was always quick, and the food was consistently fresh and hot. The combo plates provided more than enough food for two meals—I often got three meals out of them! While I can't comment on the delivery service since I always picked up my order, I frequented the place so often that they recognized me when I walked in. The staff was always kind and welcoming during my visits.

Their small pancakes are simply the best I've ever tasted, and their hot and sour soup is absolutely delicious. The chicken with mixed vegetables features a generous mix of fresh veggies, plenty of tender chicken, and a delightful sauce. It's the perfect comfort food for those times when you want something quick, hot, and fresh.
