What User doesn't like about Court House Hotel:
My husband and I went to the Courthouse Hotel for dinner. Our entrees were nice, but that's where it ended. I ordered the chicken schnitzel, which was average, while my husband ordered the scotch fillet steak, which he said was the worst steak he had ever eaten. When we ordered our meal, my choice was a steak. It was the best steak I can remember ever having eaten. I did not expect to be able to get through it initially - the serving size was very big. However it was so full of flavour and so perfectly cooked it was very easy to eat. I'd recommend this venue to anyone travelling to Howlong if you enjoy a good steak.
Old country pub - great meal. If you want to have a meal on a Sunday you have to let them know in advance otherwise you can go to the golf club or to Rutherglen
The open fire set the atmosphere - the staff added to it then the meal finished it off The local history around the walls was interesting
Had a delicious lunch for two outdoors in the "beer garden". Great, friendly service & we couldn't get through the fillet steak or chicken parmigiana (offered a doggy bag to take away). With fries & fresh garden salad. Highly recommended!
We had a family get together here for 10 and as I have experienced before - really friendly service and great food.
