We had a lovely dinner in the evening, enjoying generous portions of beautifully cooked food with magnificent aromas. The menu features a great selection of typical gastropub dishes in a cozy restaurant area. The bar is also beautiful, offering a good selection of beer and wine. The atmosphere is fantastic, making it a consistent favorite for us! View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about Hangleton Manor:
My wife and son also ordered from the limited menu but found the choices to be lacking. The drink prices were exorbitant; I ordered a drink with lime and was charged £0.65 for just the lime, which was disappointing given the portion size.
On a Saturday night, there were very few diners, which was surprising. We dine out at least once a month in Hassocks, where the menu selection is great and the atmosphere is alway... View all feedback.
Once again, not a good experience. Menu was very limited, extremely expensive, menu was unreadable due to very small writing and poor lighting. Ordered Steak, and said to the very nice and polite waitress, I will have it cooked Medium to well done, but I will want to be able to eat an enjoy it. No Blood please, so make sure it is cooked with no Blood showing. This did not happen, and the steak was in face very ****. You obviously do not have a proper well experienced chef. Steak is not difficult to cook exactly how the customer likes it, nothing could be more simple. My Wife and Son ate their choice, but there was so little to chose from. The drinks were very expensive, I myself ordered a Lager with lime, and was charged 65p for the lime, although I was that much lager missing. No other good , customer related Restaurant charges for the drop of lime. There was only a few people eating on a Saturday evening, yet we book and eat at a Restaurant in Hassocks at least once a month, great menu choice and full of people every time, and the same drinks are at least one third lower than the Hangleton Manor, do charge for lime and exce3llent lighting. We have know over the years eatent at the Manor at Hangleton, and have not been satisfied once yet.
Lovely dinner, generous portions, fabulous food beautifully cooked with wonderful flavours. Good range of typical gastropub food in a restaurant setting. Lovely bar too with good range of beers and wines. Great ambience. Always a favourite
Lovely meal , veg a little over cooked , staff helpful and friendly , will come back .
Excellent surroundings. Busy. Staff didn't badger you but checked on you the right amount. Could do with a little more light as it was difficult to read the menu and card machine! Great birthday dinner. Thank you.
Disappointed booked table weeks ahead of Christmas Eve for daughter and husband and myself .Received several phone calls to change booking times . Arrived on time and sat at a bare table for four .Just menu and sauces and cutlery . My daughter asked why were other tables, had table dressed, wine glass with serviettes and crackers and table cloths . Christmas experience. Are experience was not special for Christmas Eve , was no treated as other diners were given that extra special experience . Disappointed and my daughter was upset that we were parked in corner and she suggested we got up and go .......
