I popped in for a late lunch on Sunday afternoon. I think it was happy hour, but I didn't see a happy hour menu. I ordered the spicy cucumber salad, sizzle shake steak, and bread pudding. The cucumbers were tasty, but the dish needed more cucumber or less sauce. The steak was delicious and I would definitely order it again. The coconut bread pudding was a good idea, but it needed more liquid. The ice cream and charre... View all feedback.
What Kevin Nguyen doesn't like about Xin Chao:
Went today for dinner and was pretty disappointed I notice the prices rose which I don’t have a problem with. The problem I had was that specific things that was included was not provided the second time around. For example I got the fried chicken both times but the second time around they didn’t provide pickles or their signature fries anymore. I was given regular curly fries which took away the magic from the dish.... View all feedback.
I have enjoyed every meal and drink I've ever had at Xin Chao! The flavors in the food and cocktails are delicious and well balanced. I recommend sharing dishes so you can try more. The pho was flavorful, warm, and all about the broth. The staff are attentive and hospitable. Roman recommended the perfect drinks, which were well crafted. The space is small but lively and fun without being overwhelming. Overall, I highly recommend this restaurant for a great dinner spot with a fantastic happy hour, wonderful staff, and an excellent atmosphere.

I will definitely be back.
The Pork Belly Bao was not my favorite, as I prefer crispy pork belly with a soft bun. However, if you enjoy braised pork belly, this dish is worth trying. The Drunken Mussels were outstanding, with a delicious lemongrass and coconut milk broth. Adding mint to each mussel was a game changer. The Viet-Cajun Oysters were the best oysters I have ever had, and the H-Town bang sauce was incredible. I highly recommend them, especially on Tuesdays when they're half-off. For our main dish, we ordered the FOB whole fish, which was perfectly seasoned and a generous portion for two people. It took some time to arrive, but it was hot and fresh. Next time, I would order it before the appetizers. Overall, we had a great experience at The Blind Goat and will definitely be back to try more dishes. It was a hidden gem between the Bayou and the Heights, perfect for an impromptu date night.
Came for brunch and left very happy!! everything about my meal was so good. i didn't expect the restaurant to be small, but the vibe is cozy and i'm happy there's a parking lot. to start, i had the pandan colada, egg rolls and oysters. the drink was very refreshing, the egg rolls were crispy and oysters were cooked very well. for mains, we had the caramelized salmon, sizzling steak and pork vermicelli bowl. my favorite was definitely the salmon. the steak was good, but just okay. the star of the show was definitely the apple pie. you HAVE to get it. the espresso martini was also good. i've never had one with condensed milk and it was yummy! i was blown away with how delicious the apple pie was, though. the flavors worked so well together and it was crispy and warm and soooo good. i'm drooling just thinking about it. the staff was also super nice and attentive and answered all our questions about the owner and menu. i will definitely be back for the apple pie and to try more of the menu!
Service was excellent. Food was delicious and creative. The portions were generous except for the mixed vegetables. That was the only dish that was disappointing. The chicken skewers were very tender and full of flavor. It was so good that we had to order another portion. Beef cheek dumplings was another dish that burst in flavor and extremely delicious.
