The Seafood Spot - Houston

This place was okay but the price did not support the taste.I ordered Cajun pasta, fried pickles and seafood gumbo.The pasta was dry, barely had any meat and really had no flavor. It felt like Alfredo pasta from a jar, with no Cajun seasoning. Definitely not worth the small portion for 16$.The pickles and gumbo were good.

This is my fave seafood spot! The hotpot is my go to and the best deal for what all is in there! I add extra corn, potatoes and sausage and both my husband and i Can eat and get full for like $60. I always get spicy Cajun garlic butter mixed and *chefs kiss*… The boudin balls and fried pickles are also sooo good as well as the crawfish when they have them.

Food was absolutely delicious. maintenance needs some work though. We kept getting silverware with crusty residue on them and the bathroom is not very clean. Otherwise great restaurant and service.

To give you the layout there were two tables one, with four people seated and another one with four people seated. Not busy. The two waitresses were standing there talking the entire time of this experience. I walked in, I sat down, waited 10 mins, since no one has spoken to me I just got up and walked out. As I was walking out the waitress seemed concerned and said hey I can take you order now… You mean the entire time I was sitting here with no menu or drink you had no concern but the second I get up to walk out you want to take my order?

I’ve come here a few times. This is the closest seafood restaurant where I can get a decent crawfish boil. I order the garlic butter mild. Their flavor is so yummy, only downfall is that it is very very sweet. I can only eat about 2-3 lbs of crawfish before I can’t handle the sweetness anymore, but other than that it is sooooo good. The crawfish was still piping hot after I picked it up and got home. (20 min drive at least)Unfortunately, I was not too fond of their crawfish fried rice and neither was my son. It seemed to lack flavor. I added the crawfish boil sauce to the fried rice which helped it but because I had too much already with the crawfish I could only handle a couple of bites. I will definitely be back just to get my little fix.
