this was a repeated visit and it was about the same experience as our first. Eating is above average, ambiente beautiful and the service is very good. nothing spectacular but a good restaurant. this visit was on a Sunday evening and a very slow night. I always liked their original location on shepard better, but this location much closer to home. View all feedback.
What User doesn't like about The Federal Grill Hedwig Village:
We like fed am Grille and have had brunch there several times. The place is beautiful. For thanksgiving, however, our expectations for a fantastic meal (given the past experiences and the $65 per person price) were not met. The appetizers were exceptional. The main course was at best, average, and the deserts (which I expected to be scratch) were obviously store bought… like from Costco. Our total bill for 2 was $180... View all feedback.
Our first visit to FedAm was a mixed experience. We were seated promptly, and the calamari appetizer was delicious. My wife's scallops were outstanding, but I was disappointed with my chicken fried steak. On the positive side, the service was excellent, and the food arrived at the perfect time. However, the noise level in the restaurant was quite high, making it difficult to hear our table conversation. The open layout, high ceilings, and elevated seating create an inviting atmosphere, but they also contribute to the overall clamor. Additionally, there was no convenient handicap parking; we had to park about 50 yards away in a garage behind the building. Given these issues, I doubt we'll be returning.
The service was attentive, and the food was delicious too!
It was a bustling night at The Federal American Grill, as the local high school was hosting a Homecoming dance. The restaurant was filled with kids treating their dates to a nice dinner. Our servers assured us that they would do everything possible to provide great service, and they truly delivered! The food was outstanding, particularly the grilled Ahi Tuna. Overall, it was a delightful evening.
The Federal Grill was A , as usual. A little noisy but the food and service were great!
