Sudie's Catfish Seafood House - Houston

It was over 10 years since here. so we decided to stop by. Salad was big and fresh with too many carrots. Baking potatoes were good and perfectly cooked. Fish was just fish. nothing really too brag over. Shrimp looked like frozen. And it just tasted good... shrimps are my favorite and it certainly wasn't this... and I certainly wouldn't go all the way back for the fish or the fish. This is a great place. The good is well seasoned and great hosts. I came because their fried bread pudding is like big mouth fulls of happiness. Its just an added bonus that their food tastes great all around!

Dining room always clean, food has always been great until tonight. The batter completely fell off chicken fried steak and the mashed potatoes were served cold. The coleslaw and complimentary hushpuppies were great. I'll go back because I've eaten there for years and never had a problem in the past. The service was attentive and expeditious.

I've been coming here to eat for over 20 years nothing has changed. Good food, friendly staff . Enjoyed everything ?

We are from Arkansas and on vacation in Houston this week(Astros fans). We searched online for nearby Wels restaurants and found Sudies. We called and a lady named Juana answered the phone. She was very friendly and helped to go there. Once we arrived, we were greeted by our server, Daniel, and he's great! He was very friendly, always had a smile on his face, went beyond and beyond to make sure we take care. Excellent service!!!! Not only was the service wonderful, but the food was delicious. It was all you can eat shrimps night so my 6 years old son got that and I ordered the fish. My parents also ordered the fried catfish. I am very picky how my fish and shrimp taste and I was very happy. The dough they use is great and everything is really spiced. The bread pudding Dessert DELICIOUS was then covered with cream cheese and bourbon sauce. I also love it's a family restaurant. If we are in Houston, we look forward to the meal in Sudies! I also like that they give 10% discount when you introduce your church brethren on Sunday! As a Christian myself, I was impressed. (We ate there on a Monday night). Thank you.
