After tasting barbecue from many different BBQ restaurants, backyard parties, rodeos, and cookoffs, I was not disappointed by Railroad Crossing BBQ on Hempstead Highway. The BBQ beef without sauce had a delicious flavor, and the sauce was thick and sweet like molasses, similar to a popular Nashville BBQ spot. The generous portions of sides, like mac and cheese, were filling. The fried catfish fillets were a pleasant surprise - perfectly cooked and coated, they melted in my mouth. Many upscale restaurants struggle to get it right, but this place nailed it. I can't wait to come back to try the burger, ribeye steaks, and more, but I know I'll have to order both the catfish plate and the BBQ sandwich again.
The food is excellent and the staff is friendly and attentive! I highly recommend this restaurant!
