Contribute FeedbackOn Sunday, September 5th, we dined at a restaurant offering both lunch and dinner menus. While the food was delicious, the service was disappointing, with a long wait and dirty surroundings. The appetizers stood out, but main dishes were lacking. However, Peli Peli pleased with unique South African cuisine, great flavors, and reasonable prices during Houston Restaurant Week. The surf and lawn plate and chicken curry received high praise. Lunch is recommended, with tasty options like half chicken peri peri and cupcakes. Overall, despite some issues, the food quality and flavors were exceptional, making it a worthwhile dining experience.
We had a reservation for 4 people at 12:45 on Sunday, September 5th. We decided to try both the HRW lunch and dinner menus. The food was tasty and flavorful. However, the service was awful as we had to wait 1 hour and 15 minutes for our food. The cloth napkins and the area were dirty, the dining tables were also dirty and the table settings were too cramped. Overall, we are glad we tried the restaurant but we won't be returning or recommending it to anyone.
As always, Peli Peli never disappoints. We went for restaurant week and they had a great deal.
Marinade and seasoning on all the food. Might’ve been due to HRW but the entre came out cold. Maybe would try again when it’s not HRW.
Loved our visit with friends. We miss the location that closed in Katy.
Came for Houston Resturant Week and Peli Peli did not disappoint. Honestly all the food was amazing! They gave you so much food for $35, it was fantastic. I even took some leftovers home.
