General Joe's Chopstix - Houston

I liked this place before, but It was slowly becoming my least fav place. My last time was the last straw. I came there with my daughter to dine in. I Ordered two meals and they decided to put my food in plastic plates and then gave us plastic spoons. Every other person in there had ceramic plates. I had to walk up to her to ask for Metal silverware and she goes.. “ I asked you plastic or metal”. She never did because I’d never pick plastic silverware to dine in. Food was per in my opinion too and they are selfish with the hot sauce.

Really wish my food would've been fried better. I got the lemon chicken and the breading was falling off and slimy yet the chicken was VERY dry and over cooked. It was just not edible anymore. The egg rolls and sauce were good.Food: 2/5

OK Understand this place is not gourmet. It's one of the OG Chinese restaurants in Houston. Some dishes are better than others. House fried rice and Singapore chicken works for me.Food: 4/5

I ordered a to go order through Door Dash, and I only got one plate! I was missing a second plate, wontons, and egg rolls. I called the restaurant, and they denied they ever received my order. Not to mention, the food I received was horrible.Food: 1/5

This restaurant was recommended to me by serval locals, and I’m happy I visited. I has the pleasure of having the Mongolian Beef, which was fantastic. The beef was tender, the sauce was it was marinated in was fabulous, and the plates overall presentation was amazing. The next time I visited I had Gen. Joes Chicken, another amazing dish. This restaurant thrives in customer service, Rama took my order, was very friendly, and went above and beyond, he lifted my spirit with a nice conversation, and is super friendly and funny. Many customers adore the customer service from employees such as Rama, and I strongly believe that customer service is this restaurant’s strong suit. 10/10, would come again!Parking: 16 parking spots
