Flying Idlis Downtown - Houston

Delicious doses served hot and fast. I didn't try the idlis.

I was skeptical when I walked in, but the staff is seriously so nice and the food is wonderful. She recommended I get the Magic Masala Dosa since it was my first time. I was worried it wouldn’t be enough food and she said it’s very light but also very filling. She could not have been more accurate. They even let me taste test their floating idlis. They were wonderful. It’s a simple place and simple menu but it tastes SO good.

Please be mindful of people's time, especially if you have a restaurant located downtown and cater to working professionals during lunch hours. If it takes an hour to serve food, even when it's not busy, then it indicates a problem with management.

This restaurant is terrible in every way imaginable. I wish I could erase it from my memory. The sambhar tastes like plain dal, the idli has a horrible taste and texture, and the dosa is unappetizing in both taste and appearance.

This is a great lunch spot! I was very impressed with the food and highly recommend it.
