Was Lo Lopez at Dumpling King a mag?
Service: We called ahead and the lady on the phone was nice and efficient. When we asked for recommendations on dumplings, she said they were all excellent and depended on our preferences. We drove to the restaurant and the food was ready in about 15 minutes. We noticed a few people leaving with their Christmas takeout orders. What Dony Marsova dislikes about Dumpling King:
I attempted to order food over the phone, but the person on the other end was rude and told me to come in and place my order in person. I looked up the menu online and had some questions, but she didn't seem to understand what I was asking. View all feedback.

The food at this restaurant is delicious, especially the steamed pork dumplings and the pork with garlic sauce. The service is fantastic, it feels just like being at home.
In the 80s, my mom used to bring me food from Dumpling King when I was a child. Now, almost 50 years old and many years later, I still crave Dumpling King and often come in with my mom. I have tried all of their dumplings, but my favorite is the pan-fried pork with the sides of ginger, jalapeño, and red pepper - they are so fresh and tasty here. There is no comparison in Houston! I love the variety of dishes they offer, and their hot and sour soup is like no other Chinese restaurant I have been to. Once you try Dumpling King, your expectations for Chinese food will be set high and hard to beat. The service is always friendly and excellent, and the dining room is cozy and clean. I also love the Chinese beer they serve. In my opinion, Dumpling King is the best Chinese food in Houston, TX!
This place is the number one spot for steamed dumplings. My entire family agrees that the second best dumplings in the area don't even come close to this gem. I ordered one Steamed Beef, one Steamed Chicken, and one Steamed Veggie, with 10 dumplings in each case. All three options were incredibly delicious, tender, juicy, and full of flavor. Unlike other places in the city that serve bland, chewy, or mediocre dumplings, Dumpling King stands out with their tasty dough and perfectly cooked fillings. The meat in two out of three orders, as well as the veggie filling, were so addictive. I had never tried the veggie dumplings before and I regret missing out all these years. Since Feng Ling closed in 2015, I haven't had a good veggie dumpling until now. The service was great and my server was very friendly. The dumplings taste just as amazing as they did when I was a child, and they never have any flaws or odd tastes. The ginger, bell pepper, and soy sauces complement the dumplings well, but honestly, the dumplings are delicious on their own.
