The staff was outstanding; everyone I interacted with provided excellent customer service right from the moment I arrived.

Once we finally got in, we found used towels in the corner a... read more When we arrived, the keys to our room didn’t work at first, which took about 15 minutes to resolve. Once we finally got in, we found used towels in the corner and a wet washcloth in the shower. The air conditioning was inadequate, and I woke up sweating. The next morning, while taking a bath, the handicap rail I was holding onto came right out of the wall, causing me to fall into the tub. I wasn't pleased about paying $27.00 for this experience either. We paid $300 a night for a room, and when I reported these issues the next morning, all they said was, “I'm sorry.” I was not impressed at all!

I would definitely stay away until they have a chef who knows how to cook properly.

We stayed at Hotel Derek for two nights so we visited both duri... read more Was a bit weary about eating here based off some of the reviews...SO GLAD I DIDNT PAY ATTENTION! We stayed at Hotel Derek for two nights so we visited both during dinner as well as breakfast. Food was great! Service was even better! Tia was our server for Both nights. The first night we had Crabcakes, Cobb Salad and Lemon Pepper wings. Second night was drinks and light appitizzers that were being handed out. Lamb chop popsicle and pate. Morning time we had the honor to be served by Darius. We had the French toast with sausage links one morning and the next we had the heuvos rancheros and the Derek breakfast. Rico makes a mean cappuccino! We will definitely be back!
