What Delilah Leuschke doesn't like about Coppa Osteria:
The place, atmosphere and service were great the food on the other hand was very disappointing. The steak was so chewy I couldn?t eat it, the crunchy potatoes were okay nothing out of the ordinary. The pasta was very much overcooked. I would expect it from any American place but if they say they are an Italian restaurant and they serve overcooked pasta that?s a big disappointment. Starting with parking, the valet service costs $6, which isn't too bad, though it would have been nice to have it complimentary. I understand the charge, as it covers gratuity and operational costs for the staff. As for the customer service in the dining area, there is certainly room for improvement, although my server, Jurdan, made a genuine effort. She was friendly and checked on me several times. Although she seemed to be new, she managed to cover most of the essentials, except for one mishap where she left the leftover pizza scraps on the table instead of putting them in a container. The manager also appeared to be inexperienced; she didn't ask me what type of tea I wanted and instead brought me cold iced tea when I actually wanted hot tea. That was a bit unusual. I ordered the grilled octopus, half a chopped Italian salad, a bianca pizza, vanilla ice cream, and warm chamomile tea. The grilled octopus was delicious and well-portioned, which I really enjoyed. The chopped Italian salad was very simple, and while it complemented the other dishes, I probably wouldn’t order it again. I loved the bianca pizza, especially when paired with honey. It reminded me of gorgonzola pizza, which is my favorite, though it's hard to find here in Houston. Finally, the ice cream was homemade and tasty, and the tea was what you'd expect. I was glad I went early on a Friday, as it started to get crowded and loud after 6:30 PM. The tables are quite close together, which made it difficult to navigate around larger groups. Overall, I had a pleasant experience, and I can see myself returning, though perhaps not on the busy days.

I visited this restaurant for lunch and ordered the margarita pizza, seafood pasta, and okra. The pizza was delicious, with a perfect balance of crust to cheese. I really enjoyed the okra as well and even paired it with the pizza. However, the pasta wasn’t to my liking; it was too salty for my taste. The service and ambiance were both lovely, which made me want to linger longer. Oh, and I was thrilled that they offered a shiny! So delicious! I will definitely come back!
The service and dining experience were outstanding! I ordered the spaghetti carbonara, and despite my initial hesitation about the egg, I was pleasantly surprised. The egg yolk added a creamy and delicious element to the dish. The cocktails were fantastic as well; I tried a smoky drink, possibly called the Grump? (I'm usually not a fan of smoky cocktails), but it genuinely surprised me! It was perfectly smoky and very smooth. Our server was incredibly attentive, ensuring everything was to our liking and continually checking if we needed anything. This place exceeded my expectations!
