In a city often searching for the next trendy thing, The Big Easy is an steadfast establishment and one of the best places to hear live music and dancing in Houston. What Kailyn Tremblay doesn't like about Big Easy Social Pleasure Club:
I came in here for the first time today and it wasn't very busy so I got to the bar to order a drink, but by the time the bartender got to me some girl came up to the spot near me and as soon as the bartender so her, he went straight to her and ignored me even though I was there way before her. I hate when that happens. But whatever, so I went to the other part of the bar where the other bartender just finished servin... View all feedback.
Had the best birthday ever. Stumbled upon this hidden treasure... original plan was Scott Gertner. NO Regrets... Mature crowd... laid back..great drinks.. even has a dance floor if you want to cut a few steps.the live entertainment was amazing. I felt like the $10.00 charge for that kind of atmosphere and entertainment was way to low.. the entertainer was EVERLYN RUBIO...her vocals and saxophone playing was amazing...the entire band who was given a chance to individually showcase their talents was off the hook..so much talent was on that platform. thanks to the staff and entertainment for making my birthday a memorable evening.

Had friends on Saturday night. Little place, but the music is on the point. If you like jazz, it might be the right place. Pool tables, fully equipped bar. Great staff, friendly people. Parking is really small so you have to get there early or park the block or the road down.

I hate when that happens. But whatever, so I went to the other part of the bar where the other bartender just finished serving a customer and wasn't doing anything. I came up to him and he looked at me and just walked away to clean tables. Just like that. There was no other bartender to order a drink from so I just didn't. Not sure why this happened but that wasn't cool.
One of the last blues bars remaining in the state of Texas. They've got great musicians every week. The bar tenders are great. The crowd is always awesome and they have a pool table. Don't sleep on this place, there are few world class blues bars like this remaining.
