Food was fantastic. On a spicier side though. Cocktail drinks from the bar weren't as large as I expected. Appetizer plate was a tad small for 4 people, we tried fried pickle chips. They could have told us that since they knew it was our first time. I'd expect more ranch at least. Main entrée size was fulfilling. There was a small mix up with a silverware, had to ask for our forks. View all feedback.
What Cameron Bell doesn't like about Bb's Tex-orleans:
The servers on Sunday were incredibly hardworking! It was my first visit, and they definitely impressed me. The chicken and sausage gumbo was perfectly seasoned. The atmosphere, music, and overall vibe were fantastic. I will definitely be returning! View all feedback.
Friendly service and very attentive. Wonderful inside interior, lots of fun sayings, pictures and such covering the wall top to bottom. Queso and Chips were so good. Warm and ready to eat. Fish Tacos were super yummy! Gumbo was perfect. Overall great placeto dine in, fast service and good portions of food too, come hungry. I would definitely recommend and return:
The gumbo was thin, and the dirty rice was overcooked, gummy, and lacking flavor. However, the redfish and shrimp were excellent. The service was good, and the restaurant was fairly empty at 4 PM. There are several televisions if you're interested in watching something. The outdoor seating is quite nice, perfect for enjoying the beautiful Houston weather.
The service was good, but the food was disappointing. The fish lacked seasoning, and the fries were too thin and unappealing. The coleslaw was fresh but not sweet at all. The hush puppies also weren't sweet, and the garlic bread tasted strange, almost as if it was soaked in unsalted butter. The photo shows what I left behind.
The atmosphere really captured the essence of New Orleans, but the menu featured rather typical Cajun dishes that could definitely use some improvement. I ordered the fried catfish, which might not have been the best choice, but it was still enjoyable and reasonably priced. The drinks were decent, too. Overall, I wish I could give a higher rating, but there wasn't anything that truly impressed me in terms of the food or service. As an average food enthusiast, I suggest reducing the number of po' boy and fried basket options and incorporating some more Creole favorites into the menu.
