I visited this restaurant on Christmas Day and was thoroughly impressed by my experience. A place that excels in its raw food selection makes a strong statement. What Sean Sullivan doesn't like about Aka Sushi House:
Way over priced and incredibly small rolls. 50$ of sushi and you’ll still be hungry. Couple rolls were 95% rice and barely any fish at all. Plenty of better options in HoustonFood: 1/5 View all feedback.
I’ve been here a bunch of times. Everything is always great except for the ramen which isn’t very good
We went there for business gathering a few times. They have plenty happy hour selections to acommed our preferences. The overall food quality are good and the prices are reasonable. Our last server, Caesar, is very friendly and funny. He showed us how to do a sake bomb. We never had that before, it was fun.
So the old, gray waiter in the mask was an annoying jerk, constantly bumping into me and drop-slamming his tray on the counter next to me. my actual waiter was a nice attentive guy.
Cool place with generally great service. I would not come here if it was very busy. Great happy hour deals.
Their weekend happy hour is awesome! Rolls, appetizers, and dessert were all delicious and service was great.
