Whilst off the main sea front, this great eatery is between the market and sea front so is easy to find. The menu was wide ranging from Pizza to Moules to steak and it was very busy so might be worth booking if you have a chance before visiting. there were a lot of locals eating here which is a good sign and we weren’t disappointed with the food. What NO NICKNAME doesn't like about Au 48:
Vsitied on 28/05/2022. Writing in English for tourists because its a touristic trap. The photos in google doesn't correspond to reality since the restaurant has been taken over by new owners. No more pizza or other appetising desserts on the menu. The French fries are too oily and soagy for which the owner/manager said they are made in oil so its normal. You either eat or leave them. A very nice restaurant. With welcoming and smiling staff. A beautiful map. Don't listen to unfavourable false opinions. My dish was excellent and served quickly I enjoyed myself and the prices are correct .. I strongly recommend this place. We must encourage new owners who embark on restoration.
Very good experience for a first visit to Houlgate, we pushed the door of this restaurant by chance and we did not regret, the team is pleasant and smiling. The charcuterie board is very generous, beef grease fries are excellent. We will return without hesitation if we have the opportunity to return to the corner
Simple restaurant but with high-end cuisine with fresh products I recommend with my eyes closed
We had takeaway pizza, undoubtedly some of the best we have ever eaten! The team is adorable and very efficient, the products are quality, go there without hesitation, you will not be disappointed!!
