Munch's Cafe And - Horten

Firstly, to foreign visitor the prices here will seem astronomical! We paid £18 for 2 coffees and a Norwegian donut (I don't know the proper name). Nothing special. But we sat outside in the warm late august sunshine and Martin, the owner, came and had a chat with us. He was quick to tell us that he was Norway's most famous bank robber having robbed 19 banks. Interesting guy!

Great staff, but way too expensive experience! You are not able to see the price’s, and you will be encouraged to pay in the end. Make sure you visit the cafe on a payday!

Had a cake and a hot chocolate here on a cold day while visiting the Munch house (which was closed! . Cake looked great and was tasty.

We just visited Åsgårdsstrand and saw some sign along the seaside pointing to the cafe. So we went and had coffee and cake. The price was astonishing 260 kroner for 2 coffees and 2 cakes. Anyway the staff was foreign origin but smiling. The interior was very nice we sat in the cafeteria section cosy, but the restaurant section was even nicer. Nice to have been there, would not visit again :

Really cozy space as with some history, and especially from Munch. Highly recommend a lunch. If you just want coffee, buy with Krabbelure . Munch 's Care and Restaurant shares local with Frantzens pastry shop (Frantzens konditori).
