I wasn't even here, but it felt great to return! The food was just as delicious as I remembered, and the ambiance is incredibly cozy. We ordered a cheesesteak along with a side of Brussels sprouts and a side of garlic wings. The wings were absolutely amazing! I loved the flavor—while the garlic wings were good, I think I'll opt for the hot wings next time. The cheesesteak was very tasty, but the standout dish was def... View all feedback.
What bobnjeni doesn't like about Iron Abbey Gastro Pub The Loft:
Our waitress walked by us at least ten times but never acknowledged us after delivering our plates. She didn’t ask if we needed anything or offer to refill our drinks. We were seated at a two-top table near the kitchen entrance, so it’s not like she didn’t see us. Only after we gave up and placed our napkins on our plates did she finally stop to check if we wanted anything else. The restaurant wasn’t busy, and there... View all feedback.
Great atmosphere and attentive staff. Didn't have to ask for a refill, and my food came faster than it made me finish my drink. The barrel of old fashion was delicious.
Met up with a buddy I hadn't seen in a while. Mostly because of the bourbon selection. More on that later. We sampled the wings, crispy sprouts, Bison Burger, and mac and cheese. The wings were amazing as were the Brussel sprouts. The Bison burger was fantastic. I would come back in a heartbeat to have it again. The wings were actually crispy/crunchy. 10/10 worth trying at least once. As for the whiskey, their menu is extensive though a little out of date. A bunch of what we wanted to try wasn't available and after going upstairs to peek at their bar after the meal we saw a bunch of options that were not listed. If your even an amature connoisseur there are some interesting options worth trying. They also use large single cubes if you ask for on the rocks which is quite nice. Manager and bartender were all chatty. Will probably come back here with clients moving forwards. They apparently have done barrel picks in the past and as of this writing had an Eagle Rare BP on the menu. You should also check our the beer room on the second floor. You'll be in heaven.
Best Philly in the area. Happy hour has some excellent food for great prices. Ambiance and vibe are nice. Definitely the place to go.
Jesus wouldn't have to worry about feeding the 5000 with only six servings if it's entrees from Iron Abbey! The portion sizes were VERY filling! The food was delicious and the staff very friendly and quick to bring refills, answer questions Abt the draft menu, etc. Good customer service and every member of our party, even the picky ones, loved their meal. The stuffed french toast is what I ordered and it was an awesome brunch!
Great food and great drinks. We ordered wings, they were fried to perfection with fresh vegetables and real blue cheese dressing. We also had nachos.
