I don’t allow myself a full English breakfast often, however, when I want one, I know where I’m going, sorry that I started eating before taking a picture to post here, couldn’t resist. The service is wonderfully friendly and prompt. You will receive your food quickly. And certainly be comfortable while you wait. View all feedback.
What bmwm3e9 doesn't like about Whispers:
The venue, food, and staff were excellent as usual. However, the cleanliness of their restroom was lacking. It was not a pleasant place to use, with dirt around the edges and a urine-stained toilet seat. I gave it a rating of two stars until Whispers improves the cleanliness of their public restroom. Great for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea. Food is consistently of high standard. Great for families and couples.

I adore this cafe. My friends and I visit every week and the food and service are consistently excellent. The sandwiches are always served on fresh bread with a wide variety of fillings to choose from, and the cakes are consistently delicious. The owner, who is the main lady running the cafe, is charming and very welcoming, and the service is always prompt. I highly recommend this cafe if you're in search of a cozy spot for coffee and cake. The only drawback is that it can get quite noisy when crowded due to the acoustics.
Came here with my partner and as soon as we walked in, the atmosphere was dreadful! There were 2 older women at the counter and they wouldn't even look at us, let alone say hello! The woman who served us was incredibly rude, hard faced, just unpleasant. Wouldn't look us in the eye. My partner asked for warm squash and she basically lost her temper at us saying we can't have that. Tables were dirty, staff horrible, food was very expensive and wasn't the best. Won't be returning, do not recommend. A man who my partner said was the owner, was sitting a few tables away and the entire time, he was just staring us down. Very off-putting while we were eating. Weird behaviour??
I haven't been to Whispers for some time, but thought I would give it a second chance as I had a meeting with someone. Perfectly pleasant interior, lots of choice on the breakfast front. However, my initial good impressions were completely wrecked by the incredibly rude man (owner/manager) who approached my husband. My husband walked in to meet me carrying an empty coffee cup (we recycle). The man rushed over and very aggressively said to my husband that he couldn't drink the coffee in the shop; my husband explained he wasn't drinking it, but the man refused to accept this and basically asked my husband to leave. His whole tone was aggressive and hostile. We would have stayed for a breakfast had this not happened, but the atmosphere was toxic. We understand that they don't want other coffee shop drinks being consumed and had my husband been allowed to speak, he would have confirmed he was going to order a drink. The whole exchange could have been handled politely and with good humour, instead of which my husband was hustled out of the shop. We left shortly afterwards. Sorry, Whispers, I won't ever come back. There are other outlets where our custom is valued.
