Contribute FeedbackThe pub offers a mixed experience that juxtaposes warmth and charm against inconsistent food quality and service challenges. While many patrons laud the friendly staff and inviting atmosphere, several reviews highlight disappointments with bland and poorly cooked dishes, alongside uncomfortable conditions like smoking and crowded spaces. Despite these issues, standout experiences have emerged, especially for special events and enjoyable Sunday roasts. Ultimately, while newcomers may find some aspects charming, the establishment's culinary execution has raised concerns among regular visitors. With a focus on improvement, this pub has potential, but it currently sits at a crossroads in its operational journey.
The food at the restaurant was fantastic. The burgers and specials were delicious, and the beer was also well-maintained.
We thoroughly enjoyed our visit to the George and Dragon after a 5k walk. The service was excellent and we enjoyed the lamb shanks very much. These were served with mash which had pieces of bacon in it, greens and beans. The marquee is really attractive and the seating is well spaced. We are certainly happy to recommend eating here.
Lovely rural pub with delicious food and a lovely atmosphere outside even during the COVID restrictions in place.
Perfect lunch, staff very attentive and friendly, tasty food, great wine and peaceful surroundings.
Really helpful and friendly staff and delicious sweet potato fries and burger. Great social distancing too.
