Waterfront Grill - HORSESHOE BAY

Outstanding sunset view! We visited this restaurant following a really bad storm, power outages, etc., so we should probably give them a second chance, but our first experience was dismal. The prime rib was inedible, we sent it back and they responded with a mediocre ribeye. Maybe we should have tried the seafood options. We had high hopes for this restaurant, so disappointed. Update...gave this restaurant a 2nd chance, went with all seafood. We were not disappointedthis time. They do seafood well! ????

We had the onion ring tower, fried pickles, and then Strawberry Citrus Salad and I added salmon. The food was amazing with house made ketchup and dipping sauces. The salmon was beautifully done with a moist center and tasty, crisp shell. Loved the big deck porch to eat by the water. The Ship Store next door was neat to check out and walk around after a good meal.

Great dining experience! We had the Italian soup special with chorizo, shrimp, mussels and clam, as an appetizer to share. So glad we did! Out of this world! The garlic bread for dipping was divine!! We were lucky enough to have the 5 star treatment. Chef Matthew came to our table to meet us and describe the soup and specials for us. Who does this anymore? First class service! We also shared strawberry grapefruit salad and it was perfectly balanced with acidity andsweetness. Delicious! Our main entree was the fresh Atlantic flounder that was prepared blackened wit a beurre Sauce and was outstanding! Service was also excellent. I can?t wait to come back again when we are in Horseshoe Bay.
