Loved this hotel. The bar is closed to the public now and it is focused on the cycle trail and other guests. Stunning décor in the rooms and the bathrooms wow, 5 star. Food was amazing, the chef very reserved and hidden away son of the owner wow what incredible food. Choice of lamb rack, snapper, steak ? Simple but cooked so well. Deserts wow. Pavlova was a hit! High recommend staying here View all feedback.
Was very impressed with the hotel. Not much to look at from the outside but the inside is beautiful and has kept it's original old world charm. The ensuite was nice and modern, very comfy beds and our room was impressively large with big picture windows overlooking the harbour. Had a wonderful evening meal and our continental breakfast was supplemented with hot cross buns for Easter, thanks to our host Bernadette. The hotel is easy to find, especially after riding the Twin coast trail and makes a lovely quiet getaway. Will stay again if staying in the area.
Had a lovely stay at Horeke Hotel. We where upgraded for free to a great executive room ...thanks Bernadette. Position is beautiful and the rooms very spacious. The host was very polite and accommodating. Thank you Peter for arranging to have our personal belonging that was left behind, sent on to a convenient location while travelling. It literally was delivered while checking out. Great place, great location and great hosts. Well done guys.
What a wonderful place to stay. We were in the 4 big bedroomed and ensuited house that is built right over the water. Absolutely beautiful with all amenities. Our host Peter took care in getting us and our bikes to our trails and ensured we had the best information on which way to travel. We chose to have our evening meals in the hotel which proved to be excellent. Good menu choices, good robust servings and really nice puddings......and again the ability to sit out over the water is a joy. Peter showed us his newly renovated rooms in the hotel which he is justifiably proud of. Huge rooms over the water, with gorgeous new bathrooms with bath and shower. Just what you want after a good days cycling. A truly magical experience which should be recommended to everyone.
This was an amazing place to stay. Peter, our host, was awesome. His knowledge of the area and advice regarding the cycle trail was gratefully received! I dont think we've met a more obliging or personable host. Bernadette could not have been more helpful. Room was lovely, great views and comfortable bed. Food was just the best, the snapper was simply delicious. There is literally nothing I could fault about the Horeke Hotel. We loved our stay here, it was the highlight of our trip. Rooms: All the rooms have incredible views. It is the most relaxing and welcoming atmosphere. If it's in the bedrooms, dining room, bar, lounge or the deck, you won't be disappointed. Food drinks: The meals were simply beautiful. Chef is to be congratulated. The fresh snapper was pan fried to perfection. Dining outside on the deck watching the sun go down was a highlight. Noteworthy details: If you are looking for a place that has old world charm, stunning views, fantastic food, great hosts and somewhere off the beaten track this is the place to stay.
