The Golden Pig - Hopland

We spent an hour at the restaurant for lunch after a great morning. There were four other occupied tables, and the waitresses interacted with us three times - once to take our order, once to deliver our sandwiches, and once to collect payment. Unfortunately, they missed the chance to offer us another glass of wine or beer, or refill our water glasses. The food and atmosphere were good.

There were an excessive amount of flies at this restaurant. The food was delicious, and we sat outside with our dog. However, the flies were out of control. It seems they may be coming from the trash kept in a closet on the patio. We couldn't enjoy our meal without constantly swatting flies away. When we mentioned it to the waitress, we were told that bringing our dog meant we had to deal with the flies. Check out the photos and videos to see for yourself.

Really good food and beautiful terrace. but on a hot day (90 degrees f,) they should open up in seating. the personal could have been the problem that opened inside, but I would think that inside the first option would be to sit against outside.

Was just passing through when a friend who was in the car with me suggested that we stop here for lunch. I'm glad we did because the food was pretty good! Got the sweet potato grilled cheese, sliders, ceviche, and a couple drinks. The grilled cheese could've used smaller kale bits because it just slid out with one bite of the sandwich. The sliders were a tad dry and boring. It was the ceviche that stole the show! Deliciously acidic and yummy. The chips that came with it were perfectly fried! The service was great and the place itself was clean and cute! Would come back here again to try other menu items.

Kid friendly. Kennedy is a great server. The boss hog, classic burger, cuban, fresh fries all great choices. Full drink menu as well.
