Tried DQ after years since it was the only choice near the charger. The salad was so low that went right into the garbage can. Table and floor were pretty dirty. I don't know how DQ can survive and why people go there. Service: Dine in Meal Type: Lunch Price per person: CA$10–20 Food: 1 Service: 1 Atmosphere: 1 View all feedback.
I think most people who come here is for a quick lunch or quick bite. This Dairy Queen is some what busier than the other locations. We came here because we had to charge the car and near by is a Tesla Super Chargers. I am not a big fan of Dairy Queen burger so I got the chicken strip. I got the 6 chicken strip combo. I should have gotten the 4 pieces combo. It was very filling. It came with fries and a soft drink. The soft drink is not unlimited refill. The chicken strip is a bit dry but with sauces it makes it better. You have to ask for the sauce or else they won't give it to you. When I think about Dairy Queen the first thing that comes to mind is ice cream.
Just had the wateriest Orange Julius ever; also, I could not be more disappointed with the cashier who took my order. I ordered a chicken strip meal with a soft drink (small), as well as several other items. Looking at my receipt as we waited for our food, I noticed I'd been charged $2.39 for a small soft drink plus $8-something for the chicken meal with no drink, instead of $9-something for the meal including a drink. The cashier (older lady with black wavy hair) gave the explanation (with a straight face, believe it or not) that the combo comes with a medium drink and I had specified a small drink so that's why she rang the items up separately. The second employee I encountered (tiny young lady with mostly bright blonde hair) was very helpful and promptly gave me a refund. But still. That's rather ridiculously bad service, in my opinion. If she had said something about it costing more for a small drink and if I'd insisted on the small drink even if it cost more, that would be something else, but that didn't happen. Also, the watery Orange Julius alone could have prompted a bad review-it tasted like nothing more than some watered down orange juice with large chunks of ice in it. So disappointed, Dairy Queen of Hope BC. So disappointed.
Stopped in for a blizzard and chicken strips today, it wasn't busy maybe only 5 customers other than myself. Went up to the register to order and the cashier just walked away and I didn't see her until after I left the restaurant. I didn't get a receipt when I was finally able to order so I didn't know which number I was. They somehow managed to get all 5 orders wrong and then they forgot about half of my order. I went to sit down after I got my order and I noticed none of the tables were wiped and the floor was sticky. Not a great visit to DQ.
1/10 would not recommend. They kept messing up my order and charging me for things I didn't order and it wasn't busy at all in there, the cashier could've been a lot nicer when I told her that this wasn't what I ordered.
I think the Management should stop allowing their staff to smoke weed or something before their shift. Man was our drive through order for 2 small and 2 mini Blizzards a gong show! It took a few minutes for them to take our order right. When we got to the window, it was an entertaining but long time where we got to watch the crew sloppily make desserts. Seriously, they were making a mess! Pouring ice cream on other staff members heads, redoing cones because they couldn't build them right, etc... Vehicles behind us who had ordered but not paid drove off in petulant frustration. When we finally got our order they had gotten the order wrong! Wait 10 more minutes for our correct order! Ha. This has always since I was a kid been my regular stopping point for ice cream on a road trip. But now with McDonald's around the corner being much cheaper I think we'll be making a switch.
