What User doesn't like about Pablo's Cantina:
I went there with a friend in front of a movie. Our first note should have been that there was hardly anyone there at 7:00 on a Saturday night. The service was terrible. We had allowed to eat over an hour and were afraid we couldn't get out in time. The food wasn't good. I had a shrimp burrito. The shrimps were tasteless and badly cooked. My friend had two beef enchiladas and could not stop them because of the amount... View all feedback.
Pablo has some of the best Mexican food in Birmingham. All specialties are great, good drinks selection and a fantastic outdoor area.

Cheese Dip Guacamole was really good enough food on plates take home left. How expensive. Perfect table for our group, gave 1y-10y olds plenty of space to go around playing on the large terrace that was not crowded so that we were next to everyone to disturb with young children. Excursion to the bathroom found bathroom clean. I think the changing table was outside or separated from toilet give mother or father equal opportunity to change the baby diapers. I'd definitely go back when I lived in Birmingham. Visited for the weekend. The weather was perfect in the evening.
This is our way to for Mexican cuisine after trying many others in the area. We love the elevated terrace under the huge shade tree and live music there. We? ve tried almost everything on the menu and it is all good, including the house Margaritas. Service is always timely and with a smile.

We had allowed to eat over an hour and were afraid we couldn't get out in time. The food wasn't good. I had a shrimp burrito. The shrimps were tasteless and badly cooked. My friend had two beef enchiladas and could not stop them because of the amount of fat in the meat. We finally managed to get the host's attention to get the check, but no one came to get it. We've been knocking around and got enough money on the table. It was a terrible experience and I will never go there again.
Food is still decent, not for the price mind you. It's good just overpriced for what it is. Went on a Sunday night for dinner with the family, only a few other people in the place, which was odd I thought they're usually pretty crowded even on a Sunday night. Quality has gone down hill from years of going here. Margaritas we're still the same which is good, love a margarita with a little bite. Service could definitely use a lot of help. I might go back again I just don't know.
