My sweetie took me here last night for my birthday dinner. He has been raving about this place for awhile, and I'm finally glad I got to eat here. He recommended the mandarin beef. Oh my, was it delicious! And I had enough for two meals so it will be lunch today as well! br/ br/ I was very impressed with the decor of the restaurant. The hot and sour soup is definitely worth the visit. While the ambiance might not be the most charming, the staff is fantastic and the food is amazing. I've been dining here for my entire life and have never had better soup anywhere else. I absolutely love this place!
Once great but now just ok. I used to come here with my grandparents years and years ago. It was so good. Now, it can't really compete with Mr. Chen's. BUT their sizzling rice soup is the best I've ever had in the United States, and it is still as good as it was when I first had it years ago. If you like sizzling rice soup, it's worth a trip to Mandarin House to get it.
Hot and sour soup is great! Excellent value for lunch. I had the Mongolian beef, and with the soup and egg roll it was more than I could eat. Cost $7.
I had a satisfactory lunch at this restaurant. Although it’s tucked away in a small strip mall off the interstate, it features the typical elaborate Chinese decor with dragons, carved wood, and lanterns, though you can tell it's been around for a while. I visited for lunch, and the service was quick and attentive. The egg roll was fresh and served hot, the hot and sour soup was delicious and reminiscent of my own recipe, and the beef and broccoli was quite enjoyable as well—large portions for under $9.
Great food with generous portions at very reasonable prices. Each meal comes with a soup and an egg roll. The interior decor is truly inspiring.
