Fried Green Tomato's - Hoover

Terrible customer service thru delivery service. If they do not have what you have ordered, no attempt to contact you for alternative and simply give what is practical. You do not pay attention to added notes. And they don't care how many vegetables you order and pay. Someone has to double check the orders.

We didn't know this jewel until about an hour before trying it for ourselves (thanks to a Google search). Very good meat n three decisions at reasonable prices. All four of us tried a variety of meat and vegetables without disappointment.

After wanting to try the food here for a while my husband and I stopped in this afternoon and unfortunately were almost instantly disappointed. The service was spectacular and is the only reason I could give 2 stars instead of just one. We both had meatloaf and mash potatoes. He had Mac and cheese I had the fried green tomatoes. The meatloaf resembled canned cat food and tasted almost as bad. I could only manage to eat one bite and my husband maybe had 3 bites. Potatoes and Mac were both dry and bland. Almost like reheated leftovers. Tomatoes had a batter on them instead of cornmeal and were definitely not what I expected out of the dish a place is named after. I definitely expected more after spending $35 for the 2 of us to have lunch.

First time to eat here. I ordered country fried steak and veggies. Order was prepared quickly and hot. They also had Splenda tea along with regular tea. Very good and can dine inside. We will definitely be return customers. Fried green tomatoes were tasty as well.

The fried green tomatoes were so amazing! All the food was great and the shop was so cute, clean and friendly. If you want truly local southern comfort food, this is the place!
